Staffordshire Moorlands Community Infrastructure Capital Grant

The objective of this grant is to bring communities together through investment in community infrastructure

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council has been allocated a further year's funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for 2025/26 under the thriving places theme to support investment in capacity building and infrastructure support for local civil society/community organisations.

There is a limited fund of £150,000 in total (£60,000 of which is ringfenced specifically for rural communities/projects).

Grants are available up to £10,000 per applicant/organisation.

Closing date - 15th June 2025

The objective of this grant is to bring communities together through investment in community infrastructure.

Applications will only be considered for community infrastructure projects within the Staffordshire Moorlands Local Authority area that can be delivered between 14th July 2025 - 31st January 2026.

Previous recipients of UKSPF/REPF grant awards under the 2022-2025 tranche of funding are eligible to re-apply under this current grant scheme. However, priority will be given to organisations that have not previously received funding from this scheme.

If successful in a grant award applicants will be required to procure the expenditure in compliance with UKSPF procurement guidelines below.

3 written quotes or prices sought from relevant suppliers of goods, works and / or services

 

All grant funding will be paid on completion of the project via a claim process. Applicants must ensure that they have the required funds to cover the full costs of the project before applying to the fund.

Claims will need to evidence original quotes/invoices for works to be undertaken, payment to suppliers and evidence of the completed project, associated outcomes.

In exceptional circumstances staged or advance payments can be requested, however these are not guaranteed and will need to be requested in writing at the application stage.

Applications will be assessed by Council Officers and if eligible approved by the Staffordshire Moorlands UK Shared Prosperity Board.

Further information will be required if your application is successful as part of a due diligence exercise followed by a Grant Offer Letter (Agreement) setting out the terms and conditions and required outcomes.
