This election will take place on Thursday 15 January 2026 between the hours of 7.00am and 10.00pm.
Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Monday 29 December 2025. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
Applications to vote by post and requests for amendments or cancellations of an existing postal vote and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek, Staffordshire, ST13 6HQ by 5.00pm on Tuesday 30 December 2025. Applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek Staffordshire ST13 6HQ by 5.00 pm on Wednesday 7 January 2026.

Registering to vote
You need to be on the electoral register to be able to vote in local and national elections and referendums. Each individual is responsible for their own registration.
