Council World War One Grant Fund

The Council is keen to encourage all local communities to take part in events on 11 November and has made £20,000 of grant funding available to Parish and Town Councils (or community organisations they nominate)  to support beacon events and associated activity in their neighbourhoods.  This could include the costs towards the purchase of a beacon, the preparation of an area in which the beacon will be lit, refreshments at the event, cleaning of a local war memorial, preparation of a memorial area or activities to engage the local community in the build up to the event.
