Request a bin

Unfortunately the standard 10 working day policy for bin deliveries has been extended to 15 working days due to delays caused by Covid-19 related issues.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding with this matter.

The information and forms on this page are for domestic householders only

You might want to request a new or replacement bin for a number of reasons. This page will tell you how to do this online.

Never had a bin

If you've moved into a property without bins, you will need to order and pay for a set of bins at a cost of £31.50 each. For new build properties please see the form below.

If you have moved in to a new build please complete our new build bin request form.

Larger or smaller bins

Larger blue lidded (240 litre) bins are available if you:

  • have five or more people living permanently at your address
  • have two or more babies using disposable nappies
  • have a medical condition which produces additional rubbish

Smaller (140 litre) bins for recycling or composting are available for single occupiers or small families. We have limited stock of the smaller size and some of the bins are second hand.

Please make sure you order the correct container as we are unable to offer a refund once the bin is delivered.

If you are swapping your bin for a smaller or larger one please leave the old one accessible so we can remove it when we deliver the new one.

There is a £31.50 charge for a bin to be delivered to you. You can order and pay for the bin using the form below.

Larger bin for medical reasons

If you apply for a larger rubbish bin on medical grounds you will have to provide proof of your medical condition e.g. a doctor or hospital letter with an explanation of your condition including a description of the additional waste produced.

Damaged or stolen bins

There is a £31.50 charge to replace a damaged or missing bin.
If your bin is missing please have a good look around, it may have been put back in a slightly different place or taken in by someone else by mistake.  Ask your neighbours if they have seen it.

If your bin falls into the back of the collection vehicle or is damaged by us we will leave you a note and replace the bin free of charge.

Additional Waste

You can buy an additional brown bin if you regularly have more compostable material than will fit in your brown bin.
There is a one off £75.00 charge to cover the cost of delivery and subsequent fortnightly collections.

Alternatively, you may purchase additional paper garden waste sacks via the form below. These can then be collected from Moorlands House, Leek.

Please make a note of your order reference number and quote this to our customer services team on collection.

Additional paper garden waste sacks can also be purchased by visiting Biddulph Town Council.

Request bags for paper and textile recycling, a kitchen caddy or recycling box

There is no charge for the delivery of bags for textile recycling, recycling boxes and kitchen caddies.

Contact us if you have not received your bin within 10 working days of placing your order.
