The Growth Fund backs private SMEs that meet these criteria:

• Headquartered in the UK or Ireland
• Profits typically £1m+ (or £3m+ ARR for tech)
• Strong track record and growth strategy
• Not a financial institution
• Seeking initial investment of £3m-£30m from BGF

The early Stage team invests in startups that are:

• Headquartered in the UK or Ireland
• Late seed to series B
• Operating in deep tech or life sciences
• IP-protected
• Seeking £3m-£10m investment from BGF (£5m-£30m total)
