Home Options policy

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council is part of the Home Options partnership, with Derbyshire Dales District Council, High Peak Borough Council, Amber Valley Borough Council and Erewash Borough Council.

Home Options will deliver greater choice to all those seeking housing and enable people to make well-informed decisions about their housing options. This allocation policy document sets out the priorities and procedures for accessing affordable housing under Home-Options.

Empty Property Strategy

Empty homes occur for a variety of reasons. Some are empty for short periods of time and tend to come back into use relatively quickly; others may be empty for a significant period of time and are not likely to come back into use until the underlying reason for the vacancy is addressed.

Our strategy sets out how the Alliance will effectively and proactively address empty properties.
