Free parking this Christmas in the Moorlands
With Christmas fast approaching, the District Council is pleased to announce parking in its off-street car parks will once again be free on key dates to support shoppers, businesses and visitors to the Moorlands.
In Biddulph and Leek, parking is free on Saturday 29 November and Saturdays 6, 13, and 20 December. Parking will also be free on Christmas Eve in Biddulph.
The free dates in Cheadle are Saturdays 22 and 29 November and 6, 13 and 20 December.
Councillor Charlotte Atkins, Cabinet member for Services, said: "We know that offering free parking during the festive season is welcomed by our residents and visitors and gives our businesses and social events a boost.
"There's so much happening in the weeks ahead that people will want to be part of, so I'm delighted to announce these dates. I hope this gesture by the Council will encourage everyone to come to shop, socialise and spend time in the Moorlands and enjoy the spirit and traditions that make the build up to Christmas such a special time of year."
Whilst parking is free, other regulations, such as how long you can park for, will apply. On street parking will operate as usual as this is the responsibility of Staffordshire County Council.
