We will undertake tree works to remove a danger that poses an unreasonable risk to people or property in line with our published policies.
In general terms this equates to:
- Removal of dead/diseased trees and branches where a heightened risk exists.
- Pruning or removing trees causing a legal nuisance (damage to property).
- Pruning trees in contact with buildings.
- Pruning or removing trees blocking streetlights and road signs.
- Pruning trees obstructing the use of the public highway (footpaths and roads).
- Pruning or removing trees for disease prevention or control (within the tree population).
Broader issues posed by trees, such as tree debris, shading of windows and gardens and blocked television signals will be assessed on an individual basis.
However action, in these cases, will usually only be taken where the impact is significant, beyond normal or where further evidence has been provided.

As all trees are individual organisms that often grow in a range of locations, each tree work operation will be unique to each tree, taking into account its structure, health and location.
