Application Form & Guidance Notes for Diversion or Stopping of a Footpath

To apply for an application to stop or divert a public footpath due to a planning permission, you will need to submit an application to the Council, please find the application form and guidance/requirements below. The application can be submitted by emailing the application to or by sending it in the post to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek, Staffordshire, ST13 6HQ.

Kingsley Road Footpath Diversion Referral

Objections have been made against a footpath diversion order made on the 19th September 2021.  This means that the Council cannot confirm the order itself and has referred it to the Planning Inspectorate to make a decision as to whether the order should be confirmed or not.
