Here is some important need to know information about completion certificates - please make sure you have read it carefully.

  • all charges are non-refundable
  • we can only guarantee the accuracy of records from 31st August 1999 onwards

Detailed information about individual properties prior to the beginning of this period may be obtained by Contacting building control.

Our information is only available to the homeowner, or solicitor. The documents provided by an Architect/Designer do however remain subject to copyright laws. Therefore, before any drawings, calculations or other documentation can be copied the Architect/Designers written consent will be required and should be provided with any request of documents.

All requests for information will generally be provided within 3 working days of receipt of requests where the necessary fees have been paid.

Where verbal confirmation of site conditions or any outstanding contraventions/inspections etc. are required the matter will be passed to one of our District Surveyors for action. They will then determine the validity of the request and make a judgement about the extent to which information can be provided.

Please note we are unable to provide certificates for any work completed by an Approved Inspector.  We are also unable to provide certificates for any work carried out through the Competent Persons Scheme.  This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Gas Installations
  • Electrical Work
  • Certain types of windows
  • Cavity Walls
  • Installation of Wood Burning Stoves
