I've received a reminder, but my instalment has been paid?

If you have paid the full amount shown on the reminder notice, we may have received your payment after the reminder has been sent to you.

Crossed payments

We can cancel the reminder if the payment:

  • was made before or on the date of the reminder letter
  • is enough to cover the reminder amount

If you feel that your reminder should be cancelled on this occasion, based on the above, please contact us on 0345 605 3011 or use the contact form below.

If a payment has been made after the date on the reminder letter, we will not be able to cancel the reminder.

Missing payments

If you have paid the instalment, but it is not yet showing on your council tax account, the payment might not have had time to reach your account. 

If you have paid an instalment in plenty of time, you will need to contact us on 0345 605 3010 or using the contact form above, to let us know what date the payment left your bank account, and how the payment was made. We may ask to see proof of this. We will then attempt to trace the payment to find out what has happened.
