Your Housing, the major social housing provider in Staffordshire Moorlands has developed packages of support to assist residents overcome the barriers they may face when looking for training and employment
This includes:
- A wage subsidy scheme to provide employers with a grant of £2,000 if they employ someone who is a resident of Your Housing Group. To qualify for the grant you will need to confirm that a job is available, is for over 16 hours per week, and will last beyond 6 months.Your Housing Group also run work clubs across the Moorlands which can help you find suitable local candidates.
- If you are a tenant and are moving into self employment, the fund can support you to buy clothing, travel expenses or basic equipment.
