Accommodation Acceleration Plan

In Partnership with Staffordshire County Council, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council have jointly commissioned Hotel Solutions to review our hotel and visitor accommodation offer and develop an acceleration plan to enhance and grow the offer across the Staffordshire Moorlands, and wider Local Visitor Economy Partnership area.

The commission identifies the needs, barriers and actions required to bring forward accommodation development that can aid the sustainable growth of the visitor economy, encourage more overnight stays, increased visitor spending and enhanced economic benefits.

To help drive the recommendations of this report and increase overnight stays and broadening the range and quality of visitor accommodation, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council have commissioned 'Forward Land' and 'Hotel Solutions' to deliver a bespoke programme of support for businesses and land owners who are interested in developing their own Tourist Accommodation.

This scheme will provide a deep dive into the sector, providing advice, guidance & market insights, and providing a road map for every step of the journey. Workshops will take place over the coming months, followed by site visits where appropriate to identify individual challenges/opportunities.
