Making Brough Park better

Last year we submitted a £2.6M funding bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund / BIG Lottery Parks for People programme.
The application followed a period of public consultation to identify ideas to improve and enhance the park, including recognising the heritage features of the park, installation of a new community building and a new play area.
Unfortunately, our first bid was turned down but we are waiting for feedback to see what we may be able to do to continue with our aspiration to improve the park for everyone.

There is an active friends group working to support the park.

The Friends group are involved in a variety of activities including fundraising, organising events and working with local schools to encourage educational opportunities in the park.
