Healthy walks

The Staffordshire Moorlands healthy walks are organised by Parkwood Community Leisure who also operate our leisure centres.

When are the walks?

Meeting on a Sunday each month (and sometimes on a Tuesday) join us for guided walks around the Staffordshire Moorlands, Peak District and Derbyshire and Cheshire borders. These walks are for experienced walkers looking to travel a number of miles.

Shorter 'Walking for Health' walks are also available. These walks are more suited to those who are new to walking, recovering from an illness, or just looking to socialise and gently get some fresh air.

Fresh Air Fitness and Friends is a local Walking for Health group which meets on Mondays in Cheddleton. There are also weekly walks from our leisure centres.

What is Walking for health?

Walking for health is England's largest network of health walks with over 400 active schemes, helping people across the country lead a more active lifestyle.
