The Local Plan 2016-2031

We are currently working on a new Local Plan which will be used to decide the outcome of planning applications in the future.

There are a number of stages involved in this process, with local residents being consulted along the way. We will consider all responses alongside relevant evidence, guidance and national policy before progressing to the next stage of the plan.

Key stages

The Council has now published the Preferred Options Local Plan for public consultation. This will run from Monday 31st July to Friday 22nd September.
