Staffordshire Advanced Manufacturing, Prototyping and Innovation Demonstrator programme (SAMPID)

The Staffordshire Advanced Manufacturing, Prototyping and Innovation Demonstrator programme (SAMPID) offers collaborative partnerships between Staffordshire businesses and Staffordshire University. Each partnership will support businesses to develop new-to-the-market products or components utilising cutting-edge equipment. The scheme offers the expertise of an academic and links them with a student to produce a prototype.

All of the above is fully funded by Staffordshire University and the European Regional Development Fund and is offered completely free of charge to each participating business until July 2023.

The programme is open to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Staffordshire who are looking to drive innovation across advanced manufacturing sectors. The support will primarily focus on the following sectors and their supply chains by designing and developing new products, services and processes:

  • Aero-auto
  • Energy
  • Agri-tech
  • Medical Technology
  • Applied materials
  • Transport
  • Food and drink

The University are looking for another 20 companies to work with primarily engineering companies.
