ReOpen for Business Support

Support for High Street businesses to re-open safely.

The government has announced that England will move to Plan B in response to the risks of the Omicron variant.

  • Wear a face covering in most indoor public places and on public transport
  • Get tested and self-isolate if required
  • Work from home, if you can
  • If you haven't already, get vaccinated
  • Let fresh air in if you meet indoors. Meeting outdoors is safer

Making your business COVID-19 Secure

Safely opening your high street business is the top priority and we would like to see your customers shop safely and support local high street businesses where possible. We also want you to be able to trade in a safe manner.

Staffordshire Moorlands have produced an information pack for business to help with this process.

The information pack was produced with funding from the UK government and European Regional Development Fund's 're-opening high streets safely project'.

Please note that the Health & Safety Factsheet was produced prior to the removal of covid 19 regulations on 19 July 2021 and prior to the introduction of new guidance for 'Plan B' in December 2021 and is included for reference only.

Promote regular rapid testing, both to your own staff and to the people who use your services.

Everyone in Staffordshire is being urged to get a test twice a week, and it is now easier than ever to get tested:

  • People can book a test at one of the county council's Community Testing Centres, and then collect up to two packs of seven tests for use at home.
  • Tests can also be collected at national testing sites in the county, with packs available for anyone living with children or staff at nurseries, schools and colleges
  • Full details of all the options and how to book can be found at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/testing
