Cyber Safe Staffordshire Scam Awareness Seminar

NatWest Bank and Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Growth Hub are working with Staffordshire Police to get Staffordshire Cyber Safe!

Join us at our Scam Awareness Seminar and take a stand against scams.

On the day we'll learn about the latest scams and show you what to look out for, so you can prevent attacks on your business.

You will hear from Georgina Woodcock NatWest Community Banker, who will take you through the National Friends Against Scams presentation. You will:

• Gain insight about the impact of fraud, scams and cyber-crime on small businesses

• Learn what to look out for and how to prevent becoming a victim of fraud

• Hear how we can help you and your business stay safe, however you choose to bank with us

We will then be joined by Kate Dempsey of Staffordshire Police. Kate is a 'Crime Prevention Design Advisor' (Crime Prevention Officer), working in the Crime Prevention Unit at Staffordshire Police Headquarters.

Kate's presentation will look at cybercrime and fraud from a policing perspective, looking at a changing criminality, the value of assets, tactics used by fraudsters, and how we can better protect ourselves in the digital world.

You will also hear an overview of the Cyber Champions in the Workplace Initiative.

Finally D2NA will be demonstrating security challenges in wifi connections
