Staffordshire Community Fibre Partnership Support Fund

The Superfast Staffordshire Community Fibre Partnership Support Fund has been set up to complement the BT CFP initiative, to make it significantly cheaper for businesses, or a  group of residents, which currently do not have access to superfast services to get access to services >24 megabits per second.

Process

BT have a fund called the Community Fibre Partnership (CFP) which supports communities, groups of businesses (for example on an industrial estate) or a landlord of business premises, to access services where no superfast broadband is currently planned. BT covers the cost of the line, and the 'community' has to fund the remaining costs. The SCFPSF reduces this element by 50%.

Eligible premises must be within an area not covered by current or proposed roll-out of superfast broadbard,

Support funding will only be allocated to existing premises within the intervention area, and will not be allocated to planned premises or partially built premises.

Support funding will be allocated up to a maximum of 50 per cent of the required gap funding (community contribution) as identified in the BT CFP quotation (or a maximum of £1,500 per eligible premise).
