New enterprise allowance

New Enterprise Allowance is a government scheme to support unemployed people aged 18+ who want to start their own business.

It enables benefit claimants to transition from benefits to self employment by continuing benefits during early stage set up and trading and provides access to mentor and start up loans.

In the first instance, speak to your jobcentre work coach - they will explain how the NEA scheme could help you.

This scheme can be used in conjunction with other loans, grants and business training.
