Help for people who receive care

Fairer Charging Services

Staffordshire's district and borough councils now deal will the delivery of the Welfare Benefits, under the Fairer Charging and Financial Assessment Services. We deliver a local joined up service meaning that there is now one single point of contact making it easier and quicker for you to get the support that you may need.

Help for people who receive care in their homes

If you, or a family member, currently receive care in the home, and have been assessed under the Fairer Charging Scheme, our team will be able to help with any queries.

If you receive, or feel that you are entitled to, financial support for care in the home, speak to your social worker who will be able to refer you to us.

Helping those who receive care in a nursing or residential home

If you, or a member of your family, currently receives financial support for care in a nursing/residential home, our team will now be help you with any queries you may have.

Equally, if you (or a member of your family) need residential care / home support, and you feel you are entitled to financial support with this, we can help.

Newcastle-Under-Lyme Borough Council cover these financial assessments on behalf of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

Welfare Benefits Advice

W also provide general welfare and benefits advice to anyone who receives care in the home under the Fairer Charging Service. If you feel you need further welfare and benefits advice, please speak to your social worker who will refer you to us. Alternatively call into your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Age Concern.
