Dog fouling
All public open areas, as defined by the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act (1996), including roads and pavements where the speed limit is 40mph or less, are poop-scoop zones in the Staffordshire Moorlands making it an offence not to clean up after your dog. Failure to clean up dog fouling is subject to a £50 on-the-spot fine or, in the event of prosecution, a maximum penalty of £1,000.
