"Having an artist on the estate has brought the community together, young and old. Before they all used to go their own way,its a great achievement"

Background
Initially led by the Council's Arts Development Team, the development of this project began as early as 1999. A successful bid to the Regional Arts Lottery Programme combined with funding from Staffordshire County Council Public Art Programme, SRB 4 Biddulph East Regeneration Programme and Staffordshire Moorlands Arts Development budget enabled Biddulph East Public Art Programme to become a reality.

Who was involved?

A Steering Group was established to guide the project forward. Representation was widespread and included local residents, local town and district councillors, Biddulph Youth and Community services, Staffordshire Moorlands PCT and Squirrel Hayes Primary School.
