Welcome to the Housing Policy & Standards Team web pages providing housing help, advice and information.

Together with our partner agencies we deliver the Council's Housing Strategy

and provide the following services.

• Housing Standards - Provides a variety of services to improve the quality of housing within the district, including investigating complaints, licensing houses in multiple occupation, promoting our landlord accreditation scheme and providing financial assistance to improve the standard of properties in the district.
• Housing Advice - Helping those in housing need to access affordable accommodation, including the Rent Deposit Scheme,managing the Council's Housing Register, giving advice and assistance to homeless people, Housing Options advice to prevent homelessness and those in need of supported accommodation.
• Housing Policy & Strategy - ensuring that we understand the housing needs of local people, and target services and resources to meet those needs.
