Staffordshire Moorlands District Council works to protect the cultural and natural qualities of the Staffordshire Moorlands countryside and provide opportunities for residents and visitors to get outside, active and healthy within the parks and green spaces we manage as well as the wider countryside.

We look after 9 countryside sites covering 180 hectares/444acres of land, 6km/4 miles of recreational former railway at two locations and 192km/120 miles of public rights of way promoted as the Staffordshire Moorlands Walks, Manifold Walks and Country Park Trails. We also provide and manage formal town recreational space totaling more than 90 hectares and playing fields and recreation grounds across the district.
