Graffiti can be intimidating to members of the community. Our policy is intended to reduce fear of crime and maintain the appearance of the area.
Public areas
If you notice graffiti in a public place, that is, a place that we can freely access without permission, we will aim to remove the graffiti within 48 hours.
Private areas
If you notice graffiti on privately owned land, we will assess this within 7 working days and will contact the owner of the site to let him or her know how much it will cost for us to remove it.
Offensive graffiti
Any graffiti that is considered offensive we be removed as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours by one of our officers.
